Evidence model and source transparency

Amazon Seller Intelligence Methodology

NAVINES IQ treats Amazon seller intelligence as an evidence process, not a single score. Each investigation starts with the authorized seller, marketplace, period, currency and source before it explains what changed or what deserves attention.

Last reviewed September 26, 2026. This reference describes the public operating method and its limits; actual availability still depends on the connected account and the data Amazon returns.

Quick definition

What Amazon seller intelligence should preserve

Amazon seller intelligence is the disciplined review of seller-authorized operational evidence across orders, sales, finance, listings, pricing, inventory, FBA and other supported sources. A reliable result preserves marketplace, period, currency, source, freshness, availability and the distinction between fact, estimate and scenario.

Source coverage matrix

Every source answers a different seller question.

Orders and salesAmazon Orders APIWhich orders and items were returned, what changed in a selected period, and which products contributed to the movement?Marketplace, order status, fulfillment channel, requested period, product identifiers and returned monetary context.Recent orders, order items and sales intervals can differ in timing and scope. Worked example, hypothetical numbers, not customer results

Why ordered sales and Amazon net proceeds can differ

Suppose an orders view shows $1,000 in sales while a financial view shows $700 in Amazon net proceeds. The $300 difference alone does not establish fees, lost revenue or profit.

  1. Match the seller, marketplace and currency. Record whether each period uses order dates, financial-event dates or settlement dates. Equal date filters do not make these definitions interchangeable.
  2. Inspect the returned fee, refund, reimbursement and adjustment evidence. Reconcile related records where available; keep any unexplained difference visible instead of assigning it to fees.
  3. Check source freshness and report status. If a report is pending or outside the account's coverage, label the comparison incomplete and revisit it when evidence is available.
  4. Keep product cost and other external expenses separate. Without those inputs, neither figure is a complete profit calculation.

Apply this sequence in the Seller Intelligence Dashboard or ask a focused follow-up through the independent seller GPT. For the terminology, see Amazon net proceeds and settlement.

Interpretation principles

Context before comparison

Confirm the seller, region, marketplace, currency, period, source and freshness before comparing two values.

Actual, estimated and hypothetical stay separate

Returned facts, Amazon estimates and seller-provided What-If assumptions receive different labels and are never blended silently.

Missing data remains missing

Empty, pending, role-limited and unavailable results are reported as distinct states instead of becoming fabricated zeros or conclusions.

Seller control is the final boundary

NAVINES IQ investigates and explains. It does not edit listings, prices, inventory, orders, fulfillment, refunds or buyer messages.

Frequently asked questions

What is Amazon seller intelligence?

Amazon seller intelligence is the disciplined review of seller-authorized operational evidence across orders, sales, finance, listings, pricing, inventory, FBA and other supported sources. A useful result keeps marketplace, period, currency, source, freshness and limitations attached.

Does NAVINES IQ combine every Amazon dataset?

No. Coverage depends on the connected account, approved roles, region, marketplace, requested period, report eligibility and what Amazon returns. Unsupported or unavailable data remains explicit.

Is Amazon net proceeds the same as profit?

No. Amazon net proceeds describe returned Amazon-side financial movement. Profit requires product cost and may also require advertising, freight, tax and other external expenses.

Can NAVINES IQ act on a recommendation?

No. NAVINES IQ is read-only. Sellers verify material conclusions and make approved changes through Seller Central or another authorized seller-controlled workflow.

Start your trial

Each product has one free 24-hour trial. It starts only after both its plugin and Amazon account are connected, then runs continuously for the plugin and dashboard.

To see your data, authorize your Amazon seller account and/or Amazon Ads separately. Ads requires an eligible advertiser profile; data and reports depend on Amazon availability. Each channel has its own Dashboard and ChatGPT plugin. Using a ChatGPT plugin also requires a ChatGPT account with access to that ChatGPT plugin; ChatGPT is a separate service.

After the trial, contact us to arrange a suitable payment method. Access resumes after our team confirms payment and activates your chosen product. No automatic charge.
